Project School Visit:
Elora Public School (Elora)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment

In January 2003 we visited Elora Public School with one of our peregrine falcons.  Below are some comments from the school and a drawing from one of the students:

On behalf of my Grade 4 students, I would like to thank the Foundation for the valuable presentation on Peregrine Falcons.  The presenter kept the students focused and engaged for over 45 minutes.  Many of the students returned to class talking about how they would like to get involved in adopting a falcon.

The program supports the Grade 4 Science unit, Habitats and Communities and I'm already thinking about how to use the information and material that we received today to support that unit when I teach it in the spring.

I know that the visit today was made possible by the TD Bank Friends of the Environment.  So, once again, on behalf of our school, I would like to express our thanks.

Hopefully, this is a program that will continue to educate the students of Ontario.

Thank you for your dedication to the Peregrine Falcons.

Sincerely,

Kathy Mayo - Grade 4 Teacher
