Project School Visit:
Eastdale Public School (Woodstock)

Visit sponsored by: The Friends of the Environment Foundation

In March 2001, we visited Woodstock's Eastdale Public School with our nine-year-old female peregrine falcon, "Ariel".  Below are a couple of the drawings which students submitted following our presentation, followed by a brief letter from the principal:

This letter is to thank you on behalf of all of the students at Eastdale Public School for making the arrangements to have Scotty come to our school with biologist David Pfeffer.

The children certainly showed their enthusiasm and delight with the entire program, especially the vocalizations of Scotty.

The teachers involved in the morning presentation were very pleased that David spoke to many of the Ministry curriculum expectations in a clear but concise manner.  He asked very appropriate questions and allowed the children to be part of the overall demonstration.

I hope that David and Scotty enjoyed their visit to Eastdale.  We certainly loved being able to be so close to a beautiful peregrine named "Scotty".

Yours truly,

C. Phillips
Principal
