Project School Visit:
Dorset Park Junior Public School (Scarborough)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2002, we visited Dorset Park Junior Public School with our female peregrine falcon "Penny".  Below is a letter from the school and two drawings from students:

Recently the Canadian Peregrine Foundation visited our school and made two very informative and interesting presentations to our junior division students.  The students particularly enjoyed meeting Penny, a young falcon that the presenter brought with him.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone connected with your organization for all the work you do.  The students of Dorset Park now have a much better understanding of the plight of the peregrine falcon and I'm positive that they will be better able to help these, and other endangered species, in the years to come.

I would also like to thank TD Canada Trust Friends of the Environment for their financial support for your program.  Being able to offer what you do for free to schools is an invaluable endeavour that I hope will continue for a long time.

On behalf of all the staff and students at Dorset Park thank you again for a very well received presentation and for working hard to save one of earth's creatures, the peregrine falcon.

Yours,

Greg Price
