Project School Visit:
Credit Meadows Elementary School (Orangeville)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In spring 2001, we visited Credit Meadows Public School in Orangeville, with our ten-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Below are some comments from the school:

On behalf of the 210 grade 4, 5, and 6 students at Credit Meadows E.S., I wish to thank the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and its sponsor, the T.D. Bank's Friends of the Environment Foundation, for sending Mark Nash and Qetesh to our school.  The students and staff who participated in each of the three presentations found them to be most informative and interesting.

Mark was very knowledgeable and most effectively shared his knowledge with the students.  His presentation style was relaxed, even incorporating humour into the facts and his interaction with Qetesh.  He challenged our students with questions and easily got them involved in this learning experience.

Our students learned a great deal about this beautiful creature and endangered species which related directly to our curriculum.  Your efforts to provide this excellent program are greatly appreciated.

Yours in education,

Ronald A. Hodgins
Principal
