In February 2002, we visited Nottawasaga and Creemore Public School with our female peregrine falcon "Ariel". Below is a letter from the school:
On
Tuesday February 12, 2002, our school's junior division had the pleasure of a
presentation by your Foundation.
The program was well received by both staff and students alike.
The presenter was familiar with methods of presenting to children using
appropriate questions and she enthusiastically covered a lot of information in
our hour time together.
Some of the grade four students had just completed a habitat unit and they found
it rewarding to put information learned into practise. They were proud to
offer correct answers!
This type of presentation helps teachers with curriculum implementation and puts
excellent variety into our learning day. Viewing the actual peregrine was
delightful and put a lot of meaning into the presentation.
We would like to thank the Friends of the Environment Foundation for sponsoring
this excellent program.
Sincerely,
Classroom Teachers
