Project School Visit:
Clayton Brown Public School (Hearst)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In May 2002, we visited Hearst's Clayton Brown Public School with our female peregrine falcon, "Ariel".  Below is a letter from the principal:

Today the students and staff of our school had the pleasure of being introduced to Ariel, the peregrine falcon presented to us by the staff of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.

On behalf of the students and staff, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for the opportunity provided to us by the Foundation and the Friends of the Environment who sponsored the visit.

Every aspect of the presentation was of the highest professional quality: the presenter; the information provided; and the interaction with students and staff.  Teachers and students were treated to accurate and pertinent information relating directly to the school curriculum where insight into the world of the peregrine falcon was provided.

This venture into our school was tremendously worthwhile and, should the opportunity afford itself again, we look forward to receiving another such visit at some time in the near future.

Once again, on behalf of the students and staff of Clayton Brown Public School, thank you!

Sincerely,

Barry Gaunt
Principal
