Project School Visit:
Charlton-Savard Public School (Charlton)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In June 2002, we visited Charlton-Savard Public School with our female peregrine falcon "Ariel".  Below are two drawings from students, followed by a letter from the principal:

On behalf of the staff and students of Charlton-Savard Public School, I would like to thank Maya Basdeo for her peregrine falcon presentations.  The presentations were very relevant to the students' studies and very well received by all students in our grades 3-8.  Her energy, enthusiasm, and passion for this project were evident and contagious!

The students were active and attentive during the presentation and eager to answer and ask questions.

Classroom teachers have used the materials donated to our school, and the interest in this very worthwhile project continues.

Once again, thank you for providing us this opportunity.  We also wish to thank our local TD Canada Trust Friends of the Environment for making this project available to our school.

Sincerely,

Carol Heaslip
Principal
