In June 2001 we returned to Burlington's Champlain School with our adult female peregrine falcon "Qetesh". Below is a letter from the school:
The students at Champlain Public School in Burlington were excited to have members of the Peregrine Foundation come to our school. We were treated to a video showing peregrines in our cities and their nesting habits in some major centres. The highlight however was having a live falcon to watch and then ask questions about. Our presenter Dave, was well informed and an interesting speaker. Some of our students were eager to check out the website. Thank you for a fabulous presentation.

In April 2000, we visited Champlain Public School in Burlington with our one-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty". We haven't received any feedback from the students, but here is a letter from the school:
It
was with great pleasure that we welcomed Amy to Champlain at a presentation last
Thursday. Our grades 4, 5, and 6 were treated to a very comprehensive
video, talk, and question and answer period. "Scotty" the
peregrine falcon that visited with us was in fine form. He spread his
wings, talked, talked, and talked some more and ruffled his feathers when
sprayed with water.
The group of 100+ students were enthralled with Amy's presentation style.
She was knowledgeable, informative, and interesting. The students all
learned a lot and appreciated the style they learned it in.
After the presentation, our school's environment group had their picture taken
with Scotty and Amy and they felt the money raised from their bake sale was well
spent by contributing to your foundation.
We have already checked out your website and look forward to the time that the
eggs hatch. Good luck in your endeavours with these birds and thank you
for sharing your expertise with the students.
Sincerely yours,
Genie Specht, teacher
