Project School Visit:
Cameron Public School (North York)

Visit sponsored by: the New Ontario Trillium Foundation

In June 2000, we visited North York's Cameron Public School with our 13-year-old male peregrine falcon "Pablo".  We haven't received any feedback from the students, but here is a letter from the school:

I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to your foundation for organizing the class visit and sponsor for Cameron Public School.  Mr. Nash and Pablo (the falcon) were the hit of our science unit on form and function and the students were able to participate in an amazing learning opportunity.

I was thrilled to watch my students ask detailed questions about the bird and to see their reactions as they waited with baited breath to meet Pablo for the first time.  This is the type of experience I would definitely repeat for my science unit next year.

Again, many thanks,

Judith Goldberg, teacher
