Project School Visit:
Blue Willow Public School (Woodbridge)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In April 2002 we visited Blue Willow Public School in Woodbridge with one of our peregrine falcons.   Below is a letter from the school:

Two hundred students participated in the presentation that was hosted by Maya Basdeo representing the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.

The presentation was very well received by all of the students, teachers and the parent volunteers in the school.  The students were fascinated to see the real bird and learn more about the reason that it is an endangered species.  We thank Jim Phillips very much for arranging the visit to coincide with Earth Day.

Our thanks for making the visit to Blue Willow possible.  The curriculum coming alive is an excellent way of building a bridge to understanding and conserving our environment.

Sincerely,

Cheryle Leechman
On behalf of the School Council, Staff, and Students at Blue Willow Public School
