In October 2001 we visited Oakville's Brookdale Public School with our young male peregrine falcon "Oscar". Below is a letter from the school:
I am writing to thank you for bringing the peregrine falcon to Brookdale Public School. The students were fascinated by this rare species and many of their questions were answered during the visit.
This program ties in nicely to the ministry curriculum and helps make students aware of their part in taking care of our environment.
We would like to thank Canada Trust Friends of the Environment Foundation for sponsoring our school.
