In January 2001, we visited Woodstock's Algonquin Public School with our two-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty". Below are a couple of drawings from the students, and a letter from the school:

On behalf of Algonquin Public School, Woodstock, we would like to thank you for the insightful and enjoyable program delivered to us on January 16, 2000. The program was delivered to six classes: two Grade Four, two Grade Six and two Developmentally Challenged classes. This visit was the finale for the Grade Four habitat unit and the Grade Six flight unit. Both programs were "curriculum friendly" tying perfectly in with curriculum expectations. The students were enchanted by Scotty. They listened intently, asked scientific questions, and talked about it for days following. Mummers amongst the staff, teachers, and education assistants were similar. Peregrine falcons are such beautiful and fascinating birds. We are lucky to have such a program in Ontario. Yours in education, Ms. R. Kembley |
