Project School Visit:
Agnes Taylor Public School (Brampton)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In January 2001, we visited Brampton's Agnes Taylor Public School with our two-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  Below are some comments from the school:

On January 18, Mr. David Pfeffer brought Scotty the peregrine falcon to Agnes Taylor Public School.  It was a day that the students in grades 4 and 5 will never forget as they were completely enthralled with the presentation, but more specifically with Scotty himself.  His squawking and wing flapping had them all in awe.

Just prior to this visit, the students had been studying endangered species and the presentation was a wonderful follow-up activity.  Mr. Pfeffer was able to capture and maintain the interest of the students by tapping into the knowledge of the students and building his exceptional presentation from that point.

Staff members who were in attendance with their students were also impressed with both Mr. Pfeffer's presentation and also Scotty.  Thank you so much for making presentations of this calibre possible.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Swift-Peters
Vice-Principal
