Project School Visit:
St Peter School (Orangeville)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment

On April 23, 2003 we visited St Peter School with one of our peregrine falcons.
Below are letterss and  drawings inspired by the visit:

Several Grade Four students wrote the attached letter after your presentation to our students on Wednesday, April 23, 2003.  As in a previous year, your presentation was well received by all students.  The study guides were distributed to all teachers and I know that it will supplement the SES and Science programmes.

Thank you to The TD Canada Trust -Friends of the Environment for their continued support of your endeavours.  I look forward to hearing from you next year so that we can book another presentation.

Yours truly,

John Tome, Principal

We loved it!  It was very, very interesting.  We learned a lot.  We had no idea that your eyes really could bulge.  We are definitely going to visit your website.  Sansho was handsome and cute.  Next year if you come, could you bring a female peregrine falcon?

DDT is HORRIBLE!  If we were farming then we would not have used it as soon as we found out it was hurting nature.  We wouldn't have waited for the government to outlaw it.  Do you know what they did with the extra DDT?  Does DDT fill up the whole tissue?

Do you like what you do for a living?  It sounds very interesting.  How long have you been taking care of endangered species?  We might do what you do when we grow up.  How old do you have to be to work with peregrine falcons?

Yours sincerely,

Taylor Small, Laura Nemett, Ariana Santo and the frade 4's

P.S. Please come back next year and tell us more about peregrine falcons.
