On May 06, 2003 we visited Shanty Bay Public School with one of our peregrine falcons. Below is a letter we received from the school.
Maya Basdeo visited Shanty Bay P.S. last week and offered our students in grades 4-6 an intriguing presentation on the Peregrine Falcon. The students were focused as their interest moved among discussions, a video and the opportunity to see an actual Peregrine The presentation clearly elaborated on the grade 4 habit study but also offered an excellent tie to food chains, extinction and human impact. All students benefited from this opportunity and the follow-up classroom studies are more meaningful to the students as a result of the TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment generous funding. Thank you for the fine programming that is achieved through such meaningful partnerships as yours. The Canadian Peregrine Foundation and the TD Canada Trust had a beneficial impact on each student in the junior division of Shanty Bay. Sincerely, Gail
