Project School Visit:
Seventh Street Junior School (Etobicoke)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment

On June 11, 2003 we visited Seventh Street Junior School with one of our peregrine falcons.  Below is a letter we received from the school.

Our school was privileged to have two fabulous experiences learning about the Peregrine Falcon first hand.  On Monday, June 09, 2003 one of our grade 4 classes went to the Clarica Centre to observe the banding of Peregrine chicks.  The teacher and students were very enthusiastic about the experience.  It was a wonderful learning opportunity.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2003 our junior grades were able to learn even more about the history of the Peregrine Falcons.  The enthusiasm of Maya, the presenter, ensured that the audience was very attentive and interested.  The children were awe struck to be part of such an experience.

Thank you very much for these opportunities.  A great deal of appreciation, as well, for the sponsorship of TD Canada Trust which enables a valuable program such as this to be brought to the schools.  A truly magnificent learning experience!

Sincerely,

Nancy Boyd, Principal
