Project School Visit:
Johnson Street Public School (Barrie)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment

On April 17, 2003 we visited Johnson Street Public School with one of our peregrine falcons.  Below is a letter we received from the school.

The students in our grades four and five classes would like to thank you for your visit to Johnson Street School in Barrie.  We understand that such an informative session and a presenter with such expertise, and indeed a very love and active peregrine require some financial support.  Thanks to TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment for providing the funding for this school visit.

The students were fascinated with the life of the peregrine and the need to develop a healthy environment for the peregrine as part of our habitat.  This understanding and learning about the connection of all living things are part of our curriculum studies this year.

On behalf of the students and staff of Johnson Street School I would like to thank you for bringing a string and real life lesson to our school.

Sincerely,

Ron Edgar, Principal
