Project School Visit:
Centre Peel Public School (Drayton)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment

In January 2003, we visited Centre Peel Public School in Drayton with one of our peregrine falcons. Here is a letter from the school and drawings and comments from the students:

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you.  Thanks to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for the wonderful presentation and visit from Maya and Qetesh,  Thanks also, to TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment for providing the funding to enable your foundation to attend our school.

Our presenter Maya was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.  The topics discussed were a great lead into our next science unit on Habitats and in social studies - Medieval times.

The students really enjoyed the video, seeing the peregrine falcon, learning about Qetesh and endangered species.

Thank you very much!

I would like to thank you for coming to our school..   Learning about DDT taught me that peregrine falcons are becoming endangered.  Your presentation was the best I've ever seen.  The jokes. the falcon and the information were great.  Qetesh was very cool to see. Chanelle

I would like to thank Maya and Qetesh for coming to our school.  I think the best part was seeing Qetesh the peregrine falcon.  Come to our school again. I learned a lot from your presentation.  The idea of bringing in a peregrine falcon was a great idea.  Eva

Thank you for the presentation.  I liked the presentation because you talked a lot about Qetesh.  From the presentation I learned that the birds only eat different kinds of birds. Chantelle
