Project School Visit:
Sir Ernest MacMillan Public School

Visit sponsored by: The Friends of the Environment Foundation - Burlington

On February the 8th, 2005, we visited Burlington's Sir Ernest MacMillan Public School. Below is a letter from the school.

On behalf of the staff and students at Sir Ernest MacMillan School, I want to extend our deep appreciation for the outstanding presentation of February 8, 2005.

Over 180 of our junior students had the opportunity to meet 'Mike' from the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. He was an excellent presenter. It was obvious that he had a passion for what he was doing. Mike engaged the students and encouraged their participation in the presentation. He displayed a wealth of knowledge. He made the morning come alive. Mike is to be congratulated for his outstanding job.

We want to thank the TD Friends of the Environment for their support and sponsorship of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. Through this support you allow the Foundation to share the important message of environmental protection and specifically the plight of the Peregrine Falcon with children in our school and across the province. You are to be commended for your support of this great cause.

Again, many thanks for allowing us the opportunity to share in such a marvelous experience. This was truly something the children will never forget.

Sincerely,

John Lowrey
Principal
Sir Ernest MacMillan Public School
