Project School Visit:
St. John the Baptist Catholic Elementary School
On January the 11th, 2005, we visited Bolton's St. John the Baptist Catholic Elementary School. Below is a letter from the school.
The purpose of this letter is to express our school's appreciation to THE EJLB FOUNDATION for its continued sponsorship of The Canadian Peregrine Foundation school visits.
Our grade 4 and 6 students and teachers found our January 2005 presentations to be extremely informative. They also found Michael Fazacherley to be very knowledgeable, confident and well informed. Our students were excited about seeing "Sancho" and observing its behaviour in the library / school environment. They enjoyed the opportunity to be able to ask questions during the Question/Answer session.
Michael touched on many areas and topics of the grades 4 & 6 curricula, Le. habitats, ecosystems, the food chain, threats facing endangered species and what is being done to protect them, behavioural characteristics of birds.
Our science program was enhanced by his presentation and this was a valuable learning experience for our students.
