Project School Visit:
Winona Public School
On October the 4th, 2004, we visited Stoney Creek's Winona Public School. Below are pictures and letters from some of the students and the school.

On behalf of the staff and students of Winona Public School, please let me take this
opportunity to extend our thanks for your recent presentation. We were very fortunate to
have you visit and demonstrate your falcon, for our Grades 4 and 6 classes.
The students thoroughly enjoyed Michael's information and "Fallon's" visit. The
information shared was very supportive of our Science curriculum, but of equal
importance is the way it supports our School Plan "Environment" thrust. The presentation
itself was informative, geared to the interest and information level of the students, and
promoted a respect and understanding of the challenges facing one of our endangered
species.
We very much appreciate the partnership that you have established with the "T.D Canada
Trust - Friends of the Environment", organization. This funding is very beneficial to
every school child and our future adult leaders.
We have challenged our classes to use some of the digital photos and their word
processing skills, to prepare and submit an electronic version of a report. I know the
students were extremely impressed and eager to draw, write and do extra research related
to this topic. What a wonderful close up experience!
Yours truly,
J.S. Lindsay
Principal
