I am writing this letter to express our appreciation to The Canadian Peregrine Foundation for the
presentation made to our junior students by your organization on October 6, 2004.
The presenter captivated our students and geared his presentation to their level, using language
that our students could understand and answering their questions clearly.
Our students were particularly impressed by the falcon and remained completely quiet while the
falcon was out. In an elementary school, capturing and keeping the attention of students is, as
you can imagine, a challenge, and your presenter, assisted by the falcon, did so quite successfully.
In speaking with our teachers following the presentation, I was pleased that they, too, were
enthusiastic. Our grade 4 teacher indicated that the presentation tied in very well with the science
curriculum, particularly food chains and habitats. She stated emphatically that the presentation
was worth having again and hoped that arrangements could be made in the future.
Thank you, once again, on behalf of our school community, and I encourage you to continue your
good works in providing students with knowledge about endangered species and what can be
done to help.
Sincerely,
Jim Hoo
Principal
