Project School Visit:
Mount Pleasant Public School
On October the 29th, 2004, we visited Mount Pleasant's Mount Pleasant Public School. Below is a letter from the school.
On behalf of the students and staff at Mt. Pleasant I wish to extend our appreciation to both your
foundation and to The TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment for the excellent
presentation on October 29. 2004.
The students found the information extremely interesting and shared with me a number of facts
that they learned. They learned that the real name is Falon; that it is the fastest living thing;
about the organization that protects them and how environmental contamination almost wiped
out the species; and how they have started to appear in large cities because of its prey, pigeons.
The staff was impressed with the professional presentation, and the links to the curriculum and
the resources that were provided.
Again. I wish to thank your organization and your sponsor. The TD Canada Trust - Friends of the
Environment, for providing a most worthwhile learning experience for Mt. Pleasant students.
Yours sincerely,
Brad Walker
Principal
