Project School Visit:
Riverside Public School
On February the 27th, 2004, we visited Elmira's Riverside Public School. Below are letters and a picture from the school.
A special thank you to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and the TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment for an excellent presentation. It was educational and interesting enough to capture the attention of the students. The response of students was very positive and favourable.
It was a wonderful experience for them to meet a bird of prey close up and, as a result, the
presentation had more of an impact on them. Our grade % class is doing a follow-up
activity/writing assignment and discovered that the presentation related to the Grade 4 Life
Systems Habitats and Community curriculum. As we were brainstorming together this morning,
we were impressed by how much information the students remembered. We learned a few new
facts ourselves!
We also extend sincere thanks to Maya Basdeo. She is very accommodating and possesses a
confident, enthusiastic presentation style. Thanks again for a very worthwhile presentation.
Yours truly,
The Riverside Public School Staff
