I am writing this letter to express our thanks and appreciation for sponsoring the Canadian Peregrine Foundation to make presentations in schools. On Tuesday, November 25, 2003, our Grade 4 and our Grade 6 students were treated to a wonderfully informative and interesting presentation on peregrines. The students were attentive and eager to ask questions,
demonstrating the high level of interest this presentation held for them.
In obtaining feedback from the teachers, they found the presentation to be of quality as the
presenter was dynamic, asked thought-provoking questions, and had good student-management skills
Having a live bird certainly added to the intrigue of the presentation and added relevancy for the
students.
The presentation was beneficial as it complemented several of the Ontario Curriculum
expectations. In particular, it tied into the topics of Habitats and Medieval Times for the Grade
4 Curriculum. In Grade 6, the teacher noted that the following curriculum expectations were
addressed; classification systems and adaptations.
The teachers agreed that this presentation was one of the better ones in which they have
participated, and they would definitely like to have it done in the future with other classes.
If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to call at the above number.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Teamer
