Tom Moreau and Diane Brockman report:
At 2:57 in the afternoon we saw a red-tailed hawk flying north over the police
station. This is very close to Angel and Marco's nest and the last hawk
that ventured into their territory met his demise. We did not see either
peregrine so perhaps the red-tail was not attacked for trespassing (this time).

Tom Moreau and Diane Brockman report:
Angel was on the nest this morning at 7:40 A.M., close to the
camera. She was enjoying a very fat pigeon for breakfast!

Mark Nash reports:
We were called to the nest site location (by
security) this past weekend to pick up what they believe was a dead juvenile
peregrine that they found on the centre tower roof. It was still warm, and very
fresh when they found it (Thursday Nov.21st/02). We asked they put it in the
freezer until some one could come around to pick it up.
Well, here it is, and the good news is that it is not a juvenile peregrine, or a peregrine at all. The bad news, (for this juvenile female Sharpie), is that Marco and Angel are still very territorial about their turf, and passer-by's beware!! The bird has a very visible impact wound on it's back at the base of its neck.

Sandra Hawkins reports:
Bob and I watched both Angel and
Marco from approximately 12:15 to 1:00PM. They made numerous trips over Bloor
Street and around the towers of the Clarica Centre. It was especially
gratifying, however, to watch them renewing their pair bond at the nest box.
Both birds entered the nest box and proceeded to vocalize and bob their heads
while they circled one another. Afterward, Angel sat on the front edge of the
nest box and Marco walked around it several times. He then took off, made
several circuits of the easternmost tower and rousted a flock of pigeons. We
were able to observe them directly from the south side of Bloor as well as via
the monitors inside the CC.
When we left, she was still on the box and he was perched on the ledge beneath
the camera. ( This was the first time we had observed them together in several
weeks).

Sandra Hawkins reports: It
was exciting today (approximately 1:45PM) to witness Marco perform
an utterly magnificent flying/soaring display above Bloor Street and around and
over the Clarica Centre. Although there were many pigeons about, he did not
appear interested in hunting. At the risk of being accused of personifying, he
just seemed to be enjoying his flying prowess as he wheeled and soared and
floated against a stunning clear blue sky as only Peregrines can do. He briefly
landed on the nest box and then took off northward and out of sight.

Sandra Hawkins reports: I
have observed Angel roosting on her perch atop the camera on both October 18 and
today, October 25 (2:03PM). Bob saw a peregrine on the ledge near the nest box
on October 24 as he drove by. He suspects it was the smaller Marco.
Sunday October 13,
2002
Sandra Hawkins reports: At
4:20PM today, Marco was sitting on the edge of the nest ledge. He had a very
full crop and appeared content to sit motionless despite a very strong wind.

Sandra Hawkins reports: On
Saturday, October 5 (10:30AM), as he drove by the Clarica Centre, Bob observed a
Peregrine sitting on top of the camera. It looked large enough to be Angel.
Between 2:33 and 3:20PM on the same day, I observed a juvenile Peregrine
sitting on the southeast rooftop corner of the most westerly CC office tower. It
seemed to be content to just sit in the sunshine and preen its feathers. It was
still in the same spot when I had to leave. I was unable to see possible
leg band numbers with my small binoculars.
