Tom Moreau and Diane Brockman report: We
dropped by the Falcon Watch Centre at 7:30 AM and found both Marco and Angel at
the nest box - the first time we've seen them together in a good long time.
She had her back to the camera and was sitting on the south corner of the box,
squawking at Marco. He was on the ledge - facing the southwest side of the
box and having a meal. After a short while, he flew off, clutching his
breakfast.
Sandra Hawkins reports: At 4:20PM Angel was sitting parallel to and on top of the frame of the nest box. She really is a big girl!! She then flew off and Marco landed on a corner of nest box at 4:26PM.
Wednesday February 27,
2002
Tom Moreau and Diane Brockman report: We saw
Angel or Marco on the box this morning. Couldn't see any bands because the
feathers were all fluffed up and he/she was scrunched right down.

Marcel Gahbauer reports: Around 10 am,
Sandra Hawkins spotted one of the peregrines on the nest box, standing far
enough back from the edge to be out of the rain. By its relatively small
size, it looked like Marco. Earlier in the day, Tom Moreau spotted Marco
on the nest around 7:30 with breakfast, likely a sparrow. He noted that he
and Diane Brockman have seen both Marco and Angel at the box lately, but never
together.

Sandra Hawkins reports: 12:20 pm - Single
Peregrine flew from perch on top of camera into the nesting box and proceeded to
move around inside the box keeping a very low profile (making a "scrape"?). I
viewed this from the Bell Telephone building on the south side of Bloor. After a
short while, the bird flew south. I waited another 15 minutes, but it had not
returned by then. Lovely sunny, calm day in Toronto. Temperature -7 degrees C.

Sandra Hawkins reports: 1:00 pm - Single
Peregrine sitting on top of camera.

Marcel Gahbauer reports: Another week has
passed, and the situation remains largely unchanged in Etobicoke, with both
adults appearing periodically on the nest ledge. On Saturday February 9,
Sandra Hawkins observed one of them, likely Marco, perched atop the camera,
while I saw both adults through the camera over the course of the weekend.
Sunday February 3,
2002
Marcel Gahbauer reports: Over the past week,
both peregrines have been seen at the nest tray on several occasions, but all
the reports I have received suggest that they have been visiting the site
independently. The closest the two have been together of late is when one
has been on the nest, and the other on the camera at the opposite end of the
ledge. Thanks to Sandra Hawkins, Norma Pennells, Tom Moreau, and Diane
Brockman for their notes on Marco and Angel over the past week.
Sunday January 27,
2002
Marcel Gahbauer reports: Reports in the past
week from Sandra Hawkins and Norma Pennells confirm that Angel (and possibly
Marco as well) continue to perch on the nest tray. The
webcam remains active, and by checking on it periodically in
recent days, I have seen one of the adults on the box more often than not,
though it was difficult to tell whether it was Angel or Marco I was seeing.
